2011-12 Quizbowl Subscription Service

Can your team use an extra edge at tournament time, especially with recent events? Do your seniors remember all the questions in your old practice packs? Then you need our quizbowl subscription service !

On Tuesdays during the school year, we e-mail you a link to our web page with the current week’s set of questions. Download each PDF file, use it in practice, mark it up, and give it out for study! [Just don't use them in a tournament without our permission or give them to people outside of your team/school.  Not only is this wrong, but your team will lose the competitive edge that hundreds of extra questions give you.]

The 2011-12 sets include tossups, 4-part bonuses and lightning rounds. This allows coaches to customize each set ; i.e. in states where the official format doesn’t use bonus questions, coaches can ignore the bonuses or use them for fun at the beginning or end of a practice. At the end of the subscription, you download one file with all the sets to put away for future years.

NOTE: Questions begin after payment arrives here. You will (eventually) get all the questions you order, but if your school takes weeks to process a PO, use PayPal below and then take your receipt to your bookkeepers to get reimbursed. (We regret asking teachers to do this, but with so many subscribers, it’s necessary.)

Over a full year, each “Elementary” set (for elementary schools) costs less than $4 for 20 tossups (with 2-3 on recent events) , 5 four-part bonuses and 2 lightning rounds.

Over a full year, each “Basic” set (intended for middle-schoolers and high school JV) costs less than $5 for 20 tossups (with 4-6 on recent events) , 6 four-part bonuses and 3 lightning rounds.

Over a full year, each “Advanced” set(intended for varsity high school and college players) costs less than $6 for 25 tossups (with 4-6 on recent events), 10 four-part bonuses and 4 lightning rounds.

The 3 sets will overlap each week; thus, buying a year at one level allows you to buy a lower-level set at a large discount. But get only one set if everyone on your team always practices together, as the overlap will annoy them greatly.

The 20 weeks of questions in 2011-12 will be Oct. 11/18/25, Nov. 1/8/15/22/29, Dec. 6/13, Jan. 24/31, Feb. 7/14/21/28, and Mar. 7/14/21/28.
